Ofsted report 2007

Our latest Ofsted report gives Saltford School outstanding grades across the board.

The five key areas of inspection - overall effectiveness of the school, achievement and standards, personal development and well-being, quality of provision and leadership and management - were all found to be "outstanding", which is the highest grading possible.

In the report Malcolm Greenhalgh, the lead inspector, describes Saltford as "an outstanding school that enables pupils to make excellent progress both academically and in their personal development."

Outstanding Ofsted logoIn his letter to pupils explaining the findings of the inspection Mr Greenhalgh wrote: "Thank you for welcoming me to your school. I was very impressed with how friendly you were and I particularly want to thank the members of the school council for spending some of their lunchtime talking to me. I agree that your school is a very special place and that it provides an outstanding quality of education for you. The progress you make from the time you enter school in the Reception class to the time you leave in Year 6 is excellent."
