Chairman's welcome

Rodger FowlerWelcome to our web site! I hope you find the information contained in the following pages both interesting and informative.

The first primary school in Saltford opened in 1861 in the heart of the old village where it remained until 1962, when it moved to the present site in Claverton Road. Founded on strong Christian values the school has always been at the centre of the local community. We strive to promote in our children a spirit of working and learning together and this is symbolised in our school logo. The seven leaves of the oak tree represent the school’s six golden rules and the link with the church whilst the three acorns reflect the partnership between the school, parents and child as well as the Holy Trinity.

The school offers a broad and varied curriculum that is tailored to meet individual needs and which is delivered in an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. This extends beyond the classroom to the many activities that the children are encouraged to participate in after school hours. Our team of highly committed and dedicated teaching and support staff work closely with parents to ensure that the school’s reputation for quality and high standards of learning is maintained. We were delighted that the success of this partnership was recognised and confirmed by both OfSTED and SIAS inspectors who graded the school as “outstanding” in recent inspections.

If you would like to visit the school to meet staff and see the facilities you will be made most welcome.
